Dear Teachers,

- I have heard of the sentence "What you see is what you get" many times. But what does it mean exactly?

It means that there isn't any more to it than meets the eye.

It could mean that a good-looking person is handsome / pretty but nothing more -- no brains, no personality, no skills, no talents, but easy on the eyes.

It could mean that the product you are thinking of buying comes without anything extra -- no batteries, no cords, no instruction manuals, no warranties, just the thing itself.
