| I am discussing with a friend which phrase is better : "economic reform" or "economic reformation". I was thinking it should be economic reformation but then I found the phrase "economic reform" in both Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary and Longman Dictionary and a similar one in MSN Encarta. May I ask which should be used or are there any difference ? |

You can trust Oxford (and Longman), if not Encarta. It is 'economic reforms'.
I think 'reforms' refers to the actual changes, whereas 'reformation' refers to the process of change. |
