-->I know we don't have to use period when it comes to this:
I will see him at ten a.m.
Q: DO we have to use . when the situation meeets a question mark?
Like the following sentence?
Shall we meet them on Saturday night at ten a.m.?
Thank you |

I think you can write it: Shall we meet on Saturday night at 10 p.m? To avoid this problem you could change it to: Shall we meet at 10 p.m. on Saturday (night)? |

You need the period even if you have other punctuation, whether it is a.m. (ante meridiem) or p.m. (post meridiem). Only a final period can be omitted if it is the last element of the sentence:
Will I see you at 7 p.m.?
You were still awake at 4 a.m.!
It doesn't start until after 8 p.m. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
