Hi, everyone!
Is the sentence below correct? I just happened to see it in an English passage.
"Students' pursuit of being cool is switching them off their education..."
i'm not sure if the use of "switching" is fine. It seems like "turning" would be better.

'Switching off' is fine; it is a synonym of 'turning off'.
