First it needs an indefinite article, since 'day' is countable.
Second, 'pretty' sounds odd or 'sunny' sounds odd, because the latter idea is subsumed in the former. Either it is simply a pretty day, or it is a [clear and] sunny day (and therefore 'pretty').
