Hello, teachers.
What does "make a lot of noise" mean?
"to be very noisy" or " to live it up"?
Thank you in advance!

It means, to be very noisy, but I guess you could use it as an expression to mean, live it up. |

Hello, pugachevV-san.
Thank you so much for your response!
Then, "We had a party and made a lot of noise." is acceptable, right?

It's acceptable as a sentence. I bet it isn't acceptable to the neighbors, though! |

Yes, you can say that. Also, people introducing people to the stage sometimes say, "Make some noise for [Name]," meaning that the audience is supposed to applaud and cheer and make the person feel welcome. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
