The sentence isn't a very good one to begin with. If it is on a test, the instructor should just cross it off.
Anyway, the better answer, in my opinion, is elements. Depending upon what "the life of London" is supposed to mean, elements would mean those things that all add up to "the life," while sections just means different areas of a place or a field or a manuscript, etc.
In spoken English, yup is just one of the ways to say yes. It is a little bit flippant and informal, so you wouldn't want to say it in a job interview or in speaking with anyone you wanted to impress. But among friends, yup is an acceptable variation of yes, yeah, uh-huh, mm-hmm, yep, a-yuh.[/b] _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
