A public service announcement is a message to the public that gives important information. It is like an advertisement, but without trying to sell some product. The government might send out a message about preventing diseases by washing hands or boiling water or using protective devices, for example. Or a hospital might announce free flu shots for the protection of the public.
The trophy case is the place where the trophies, awards, plaques, medals, etc. are displayed. It may be a simple bookshelf or a special cabinet with glass and locking doors and laser-beam detection devices to guard against theft -- depending on how valuable the trophies. Or it may be just a kitchen drawer where you tossed that lousy second-place bowling trophy the day you won it.
