Hello
Could you tell me which of the following sentences sounds best ?
1. Not only the afternoons, but also the weekends were at our disposal, so we had ample spare time.
2. We had plenty of leisure time since we didn't have to work neither in the afternoons nor at the weekends.
3. Not only did we have free afternoons, but also the weekends were at our disposal.
OR may be you have a better idea?
Thank you very much in advance for your assistance. |

.
With a little work, they are all OK:
1. Not only the afternoons but also the weekends were at our disposal, so we had ample spare time.
2. We had plenty of leisure time, since we didn't have to work either in the afternoons or at the weekends.
3. Not only did we have free afternoons, but also the weekends were at our disposal.
I like #3 for shortness and variety. _________________ "I really do not know that anything has ever been more exciting than diagramming sentences." Gertrude Stein
