Hi,

I have 3 chinese expressions needed to find their english equivalents. Could you please tell me which are the natural ways to express them in English? Thanks in advance.

1. If you want to describe that someone who seems to have good luck of winning money or making fortune not by his/her hard working but by sheer luck, what are the expressions?

2. If I got a flu/cold, and I had been vomiting or having diarrhea all day, what sentence should I say? Could I say:

I've been in puke and diarrhea all day. Or,
I've been throwing up and having diarrhea all day.

If they're not natural, what would you use in English?

3. If I am Pisces, I'm a water sign. Is it correct to say:
I'm a water sign. Or, could I say: I'm in water sign.

1. Usually you would just call him a lucky guy, or a lucky duck. Some guys have all the luck. But you wouldn't say he has the luck of the Irish. That means he has only bad luck.

2. You would not say in puke, but you could say you've been puking all day, or throwing up, vomiting, spewing, hurling, chundering, blowing chunks, spitting up, or just getting sick, depending on the people you were talking with. As for diarrhea, that comes under the heading of too much information. You can cover the whole range by saying, "I've been sick to my stomach all day long."
