Dear teacher,
Can you tell me how to use "No problem" & " Don't mention it"?
In this year's NMET there is a question like this :
--I'm sorry to have kept you waiting.
----_____, Bill.
A. Don't mention it B.No problem
I remember "No problem" is not used to answer "sorry".
Why the answer here is "No problem" ?
Thank you! |

Well, with just these two choices, "No problem" is better than "Don't mention it." Usually, "Don't mention it" is the answer to "Thank you." Here, Bill is late, but when he shows up, and he says he is sorry for being late, I say, "No problem," meaning, "That's OK, I don't mind that you are late." _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
