Hello.
Please let me know what preposition should be put before 'the device' in the below sentence?
I want to mean the device needs to get the adjustment.
"Make a zero-adjustment on the device."
Is "on" correct here or should other preposition be used instead?

This so-called 'zero-adjustment' is to improve the device's precision. |

You could say
set the device to zero
or
make a zero-adjustment on the device |
