Do you know judo and karate? They are Japanese martial arts.

Can I say `Do you play judo?' or `Do you play karate?'
Or should I say 'Do you do judo / karate?'

Could you tell me which expressions is correct?

Thank you for your help.[/i]

You wouldn't say play judo
There is some question in my mind about "do judo". During the past 50 years, I have noticed that "do...." has developed into a popular colloquialism. We always said "do the dishes", or "do the tango", but now you hear it more and more in many contexts.
A more formal expression would be, "I am a practitioner of judo"

I think you can practise it, take it, learn it, or even study it.

At least where I live (California), it's common to hear "I do judo," "I study judo," and "I practice judo." Personally, when I was training in a martial art, I usually said "I study kung fu." "Study" might be the most common verb for that used around here.
