My student wanted to express his nervous when watching TV. He wrote:
During the penalty(soccer match), I, staring at the screen, could even felt my stringent nerve!
Is that OK? or any improvements?

In your first sentence, you cannot use the adjective "nervous". You have to do either A or B.
A... Change the wording... 'My student wanted to express how nervous he was when (he was) watching the soccer match on TV.'
B...Use the noun "nervousness"... 'My student wanted to express the extent of his nervousness when (he was) watching the soccer match on TV.
What are you trying to say with "felt my stringent nerve?" Express it in simple words and we can then help you more, if needed. |
