Hi,
If someone has cried and her eyes turned red, what are the natural expressions to ask why her eyes are red?
Why are your eyes red? What's wrong?
Thanks for your help!

Sounds good to me.
BTW - Your use of English is really good. How long have you been learning? Philo |

Thank you both for your reply and flattery. My English is not so good as you think. That's why I come here often to post simple questions. However, I've learned English for so long that I'm embarrassed to tell the exact years.
I always appreciate what people are doing here--unselfishness to help out other people with their learning problems. We English learners are really lucky to have you and other great people in this Dave's Cafe's to want to help us understand English better. Thank you once again. And my salute to everyone here with kind heart and unselfish spirit.
Have a good day!

Thanks for your kind words...(insert 'redfaced' emoticon).
There are indeed many talented and generous contributors on these forums; I,too, salute them. Philo |
