Hi teachers

there is a preposition question that has been confusing me for a long time, you might think it's a stupid one Embarassed
in this sentence
"pls set up the fixture in/on the machine", which prep. is more suitable, in or on, or others?
of course the fixture is not a part of the machine, when it produces a different product,a different fixture should be used.

thank you!

"pls set up the fixture in/on the machine. on

No, not at all. Prepositions like in, on, into, onto, at & others seem to confuse us all hell of a lot!

Hi buddhaheart

thank you for your kind reply, but i'm a little bit confused, so just wanna make it clear, you mean here we have to choose "on", right? then what do you further mean by "no, not at all"?

My "No, not at all. ..." is only to respond to quote above.

Yes, choose on.
