Hi teachers
When we eat at a KFC, we can order a numbered set of food generally including a burger, a cola and some chips. my question is when you order, what do you say, is "I'd like food set no. 2" appropriate? another question is do you call the ones who work behind the counters (who're taking you orders there) waiters/waitresses or clerks?
thanks |

You would order "Number 2" or "The number 2 combo [combination]." You might say, "I'd like a number 2 with Sprite, please." "May I have the number 2 combination?"
The people behind the counter are called the servers, the staff, the counter persons, or the employees. The one who takes your money is the cashier.
Waiters and waitresses are the food servers who come to your table, take your order, and bring you everything. They don't work at KFC or McDonald's. They work in restaurants. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |

You can also say "Combo number 2." _________________ wintersweet
