Hi All,
Should I use TO or ON after 'STOP' in the following sentence? I would appreciate it if you could explain the resason behind that choice.
'One day after a U.S. judge ordered a stop TO / ON sales of Canadian company Apotex's generic version of the blood thinner Plavix.'
Thanks,
MG. |

1..of the sales...
2...The sentence as written is not a complete sentence. You can say, 'One day later, a U.S. judge...............'. |

| I could accept "to" in that sentence, if there was a second clause, for example, "One day after a U.S. judge ordered a stop TO sales of Canadian company Apotex's generic version of the blood thinner Plavix, Apotex filed an appeal." |
