Q: To what extent do you like (something)?
how should I answer it?by saying,"I like it pretty much."or"I like it to a great extent?"

"pretty much" is very informal sounding
"to a great extent" sounds very formal.
"like it a lot"might be a good choice
This sounds like Goldilocks and the three bears!  |

I checked the story of "Goldilocks and the three bears",I thought you might mean -stating one's opinion several times.right?
also,I saw the story in animation on the internet,here's the link ,you might enjoy it ,too

Actually the reference was to the fact that Goldilocks kept making evaluations in groups of threes:
"This porridge is too hot. This porridge is too cold. This porridge is just right. This bed is too small. This bed is too big....etc.
Sorry - I have a facetious nature. |
