The key to being a gentlemen is to be kind and understanding with strangers. I don't view opening doors for everyone, and always saying nice things as a key trait for a gentlmen. Those are very easy things to do and are a bit superficial.

A good example that I like to think of that would separate a gentlmen from a regular person is the following. Let's say you are at a ski resort( or maybe day dream Smile ) after a long ride and are filling out forms. You see someone you don't know having trouble and you go over and help them fill it out. Knowing full well you will likely never see them again and nobody you know will find out about it.
