are they correct?
or how would you say it?
3to *turn on*/*turn up*or *switch on* the faucet?
which is correct? |

"Participate in" means you are going to be part of the competition. "Be at" could mean you are just a spectator. You could simply say "be in a competition."

"Turn on" means go from off to on. "Turn up" means increase the volume of the flow that is already on. "Switch on" is for electrical stuff (such as lights, a radio, etc.). |
