Do they mean the same thing?


My flight went from Taipei to LA, from LA to Minnesota, then from Minnesota to New York, for the return flight it's the other way around.

Is that how people would say it?

I would watch out for my feet if I were you. Is the correct way to say it.

Your itinerary is correct, except that you would probably name the city e.g. Duluth. in Minnesota (which is a state).

Can I leave out the *from*?

My flight went from Taipei to LA, LA to Minnesota, then Minnesota to New York, for the return flight it's the other way around.

Instead of :
My flight went from Taipei to LA, from LA to Minnesota, then from Minnesota to New York, for the return flight it's the other way around.

You can amend it as you suggest. That's often the way people talk. I agree with Vladimir, though, that you would probably name the airport in Minnesota. If the return flight has already taken place you say it was the other way around[/i].
