In the week I stayed in Mineapolis. I took two Salsa, two Swing and a Tango lessons.
Americans tend to give out *generous* food samples and trial products.
I have never used generous on things but people. Is that used correctly?
I always felt like going back to my lovaly home after every tiring yet interesting day of Twin Cities exploration.
That was a part of message I wrote to some people I met at a youth hostel. I somehow felt I could have put it in a better way. Any suggestions?
Thanks guys |

I would rewrite it as one sentence: "In the week I stayed in Mineapolis, I took two Salsa lessons, two Swing, and one Tango." [It sounds a little funny ending with "a Tango lessons."]
Yes, OK to use generous that way. Some restaurants have generous portions. Some cities get a generous dose of snow. And so on.
I would rewrite it as: "After every tiring yet interesting day of exploring the Twin Cities, I looked forward to going back to my lovely home."[/i] _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
