Hi,
I read a sentence like this "Just because he doesn't talk in class doesn't necessarily mean he's stupid."
I'm wondering why the clause beginning with because can be the subject in a sentence. Isn't it an adverb clause? Can an adverb clause be the subject in a sentence?

Talking in class or not talking in class does not indicate one's intelligence or lack of intelligence.
The fact that one talks in class does not indicate one's intelligence. _________________ I'm never going to learn if you don't correct my mistakes! |
