Please read the following sentence:

After being repaired last week, Teresa's computer is now completely functional.

In the above sentence, is the word after a preposition or a conjunction? Since the sentence can be re-written as "After it was repaired last week, Teresa's computer is now completely functional," I think the word "after" is a conjunction in terms of participle construction. However, it is known that "after" is also a preposition and is usually followed by "V-ing." So, which viewpoint is correct?

Moreover, if the word after is a conjunction, is it acceptable to say "After repaired last week,..."?

Thanks for your explanation.

In my opinion, "after" is an adverb used at the beginning of an adverbial clause.
Any other opinions?
