What's the meaning of "no few" in the following two examples?
-------- the following -------------
1 The quartans attacked many at first, in the form of regular quartans, but in no few cases a transition from other fevers and diseases into quartans took place; they were protracted, as is wont with them, indeed, more so than usual.
2 One of the best examples of a prolonged bear market is that of 1970's when stocks went sideways for well over a decade. Experiences such as these are generally what scare would-be investors away from investing. Ironically, this keeps the bear market alive; because no few buyers are purchasing investments, the selling continues.

1. Means in several cases, not just a few; in a number that is noteworthy, not trivial.

2. Means not just a few buyers, but many buyers, are purchasing investments.
