I think that the bold part of the above is not correct grammatically and it should be corrected like 'has been estimated at the equal of roughly one-fourth of the gross national product.'.
I wonder I'm right. Please let me know if I'm right or wrong and why.

Dear Chan-Seung, The problem that I see with both your quote and your revision is the use of 'at' after 'estimated'. I normally hear 'to be' after 'estimated'. Beyond that, the quote is more correct than your revision, sorry. Here's how I would say it: 'has been estimated to be equal to roughly one-fourth of the gross national product'.--Eric  |
