I think that the bold part, 'leaving them with no other way but to', is wrong and instead it might be changed into 'leaving them with no choice[or option] but to'. But I'm not sure. Could you let me know if I'm wrong and why?

It is not wrong as written, but you could revise it the way you suggest.
