1.Various surveys also show that most teens who have rejected marijuana credited their parents for their decision.
2.The screenplay for 'Gabriel Over the White House' is credited to Carey Wilson.

1. As for #1, I think 'credited their parents for' is changed to 'credited their parents with'. Can you let me know wheather I am wrong and why?

2. As for #2, what does 'is credited to' mean? According to my dictionary, it means 'is responsible for'. But I don't think so. Can you tell me what it means?

Thanks.

1.Various surveys also show that most teens who have rejected marijuana credited their parents for their decision. You credited (~ gave recognition to) the parents with ...(something)... for the decision most teens made to reject marijuana. Give parents the credit for (not *with) making their teens reject marijuana.

2.The screenplay for 'Gabriel Over the White House' is credited to Carey Wilson. 'Is credited to' means is ascribed to or is considered as belonging to.
