Could you teach me why "of" is proper in this sentence.
"Employees are paid on the 10th and 20th (of) the month."
Why "in" can't use instead of "of"? |

1...Say, 'Why can't 'in' be used instead of 'of'? In an English question, you have to put the question words, "why" and "can't", first.
2...It is standard to say "on the 10th of the month". 'on the 10th in the month' is just not said and sounds very odd. |
