The following sentence is supposed to mean Wayne's becoming a lovely kid. Is it grammatically correct and natural English?
Wayne�s getting a lovely kid. |

Maybe in some British dialect that I don't know but not in American English
"is getting to be" is more appropriate |

Your sentence sounds like Wayne is going to adopt a child, and he's getting a lovely kid. |
