Please read the following sentences:
1. While I was opening the mail, the sharp paper cut my finger.
2. When I was sitting outside at the cafe, the rain began to fall.
Can they be changed as follows?
1. I opening the mail, the sharp mpaper cut my finger.
2. I sitting outside at the cafe, the rain began to fall.
