				Hello again, I'm sorry, but #2 and #3 don't sound natural to me. #1 sounds natural to me. You may be confused by the work 'that'. In #1, 'that' is an adjective, a demonstrative adjective. In #2 and 3, 'that' is a pronoun, a subject of a clause. In #1, the sentence is simpler--the phrase 'writing that report' has a clear meaning, in which there is a verb (writing) and its object (report). The other sentences are more complicated and awkward. For #2/3, this is how I would correct it, but with a different meaning: You did such a good job writing it, that it was reported to me by Mr. Smith, your boss.... Ok? --Eric    |
