Does "That should have been interesting." have the same meaning as "That must have been interesting."? |

In these two examples should refers to obligation and must refers to probability.
John is late.
He should have arrived by now. He was supposed to arrive. He was scheduled to arrive.
Something must have happened to him. This is a logical conclusion. This is the most probable/likely explanation for him not being here. _________________ I'm never going to learn if you don't correct my mistakes! |
