At the risk of over simplifying I would say the following:
With a verb use not. With an adverb use no. With a prepositon or adjective use not although the word order may not be natural.
1. Completed entry forms should not arrive later than 31st July.
2. Completed entry forms should arrive no later than 31st July.
3. Completed entry forms should arrive not after 31st July. _________________ I'm never going to learn if you don't correct my mistakes! |
