Hello.
Can you tell me if there is any difference between "survive" and " survive after". For example, should I say " survive the flood" or " survive after the flood"

Well, you can suffer from the storm itself or you can suffer from the consequences of the storm.

One thing is to survive the flood, the hurricane, the accident. And another thing is to survive a period of time afterwards while waiting for food, water or medical assitance.
