Hello, teachers!!
You know the movie "STAND BY ME."
What does it mean? Does it have two meanings--stand near me and support me?

It means stick with me, stay by my side and don't desert me. The title of the movie comes from the song "Stand by Me," which is its closing theme, too. The story was originally a short story by Stephen King called "The Body," since the main quest of the boys is to go see a dead body one of them heard about. But it's also about doing what's right for one's friends, including standing by them in times of need.
