Hi.
I would like to know which preposition should be taken for the below sentence;
"Please see the reference value 'on' (in?) the sheet."
Also if it is not 'sheet' but 'document', which one is correct?
Please let me know the basic idea to use 'in' and 'on' in this kind of cases?
Thanks.

I would say "on" the sheet when refering to the physical paper. But if you are referring to the information you could use "in".
However, it would be more natural to use the word page here and the preposition would be "on".
The information is "in" the report "on" page 4. _________________ I'm never going to learn if you don't correct my mistakes! |
