Hello, teachers!!
Please fill in all the necessary items on the application form.---(1)
Please fill out all the necessary items on the application form.---(1)
I know that (1) is correct, but how about (2)?
I would like to know the difference between "fill in" and "fill out."
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE. |

fill in means to act as a substitute.
fill out means to gain weight or to grow bigger
Both of them mean, complete when referring to forms and applications, although I would normally say, "I filled in" a form, but "filled out" an application. |
