Dear teacher:
Last week I watched a movie "Legally Blonde." In that movie,
there's a sentence "I need to merry a Jackie not a Marilyn."
What is the "Jackie" means in the sentence?
best wish

Hello Snowball -
'Jackie' married John F. Kennedy (JFK) and later Onassis (Jackie 'O')
an image of 'lady-like' 'demure' 'educated' 'class' etc.
in contrast to 'Marilyn' Monroe the 'sexy' 'bombshell' 'dumb blond'
BTW - 'marry' (not 'merry) Philo |
