I saw #1 in a book. But I think that #1 is not correct because 'it' is something and something cannot 'persevere'. So I think #2 is right.
Would you let me know which one is correct?

#1 is good. "Persevere" is being used as a command. E.g., Sit!, Go! Leave me alone! Persevere!
#2 is also good if you delete "with it." (In this case, "persevere" is no longer being used as a command.) |
