Hello, teachers!!
(1) Let's go ahead and do it. Nothing will be gained by just waiting.
(2) Let's go ahead and do it. Nothing is gained by just waiting.
I think that (1) is better than (2), but do you find any differences between them.
Thank you in advance. |

Hi Learner12,
Number 1 is more appropriate because it supposes an alternate condition which would not be advantageous. You could even use "would."
Let's go ahead and do it. Nothing would be gained by just waiting.
