In general happiness is caused by such heavyweight factors just as respect, acknowledgement, admiration, love, firendship, succuess etc..... that are the great feelings, making us jumping around, screaming or whatever...... but I experienced, that there are still many small things in allday life, extracting only a little smile from me, but when I'm down, these small things give me hope and warm my heart. I never paid much attention to them, but I'm just realizing, that there are so many wonderful things around me, I just have to keep my eys open.
I would be interested in, whether you have similar experiences....... in which situation do you feel like the happiest person in the world just because of a very small reason?
Here some of the small things, making me happy:
- when a raindop falls on my forhead
- when I stroke old bark of trees
- when I stand in the darkness and the whole downtown is shrouded in light
- when a drop of wax falls down from the top of a candle
- when the sun is reflected on the surface of puddles
- when someone unknown gives me a smile without any visible reason
- when the daylight seems to be so unreal, that it feels like a dream
what about you? _________________ "An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind." Mahatma Gandhi |

Awesome your reflections about "small things" around us.
Smell books in bookshops or libraries.
The light of a lighthouse.
The sound of the sea.
And go on...
Regards. |

The look of a small child, who discovers, that, when you touch the fogged up window - pane, the outlines of your hands stay on the glass. _________________ "An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind." Mahatma Gandhi |

The first thought leads all~~
As long as I think of the upcoming break when I could be doing whatever I like with no boundry, I smile from the depth of my heart....

I love driving with my favorite songs turned on and the wind blowing my hair. It always makes me feel so free and happy.
Meeting new interesting people is always nice.
Waking up an hour earlier, and finding out that I have one more hour to sleep...
Taking a bath.
Hiking (alone or with a friend) always relaxes me.
I just love snow, it always puts a smile on my face.
I love the smell of flowers or baked vegetables.
Finding money, even when it's just a penny, is also nice. |
