Hello, teachers!!
(1) People believed that it is good for society for art to be publicly available.
(2) People believed that it is good of society for art to be publicly available.
Do you find any differences between them? Of course, the difference is between "for" and "of."
Thank you in advance. |

1) society benefits by the fact that art is available to the public
2) society makes art available to the public
What is the source of your examples?

L.
No need to be sorry for a small typo...you get my vote for 'Working Hardest' around here.
2) does not sound correct as written
'People believed that it is good for 'a society of art' to be publicly available'
Do you think adding 'a' changes the sentence to convey the intended meaning?
