What does this sentence mean:
He was kicking it ......
Can it mean:
He was taking drugs...

You 'kick' a habit.
So, , he was kicking it probably means he was trying to give up some habit, or addiction, such as smoking, sugar in his coffee, heroin, and so on.
Unless he was actually kicking a ball. |

People also say "kicking it" to mean "kicking back," as in, kicking back and taking it easy.
