Considering all the achievements listed in his work history, this applicant will certainly be ( ).

I know that the answer for the parenthesis is "capable," but may I put "potential"?
I think that "he is potential" means "he is able."

hi
capable and potential are similiar but not same. they consist of similiar meanings but their use areas are different
you can use "he is able/capable"
but if you want to use "potential" you can prefer "he has (the) potential"
