Hi teachers,

I'm forming a question to ask how well a football team did in the last season, which position they ended up, do my examples below sound natural to you?
Thank you.

Q1, Which position did xxx team ended up last season?
Q2, Which position was xxx team last season?
Q3, How well did they play last season?

Plus, the answer I'm expecting is " they were no. x last season" or "they were in the Xth position"

1. OK, but you need to change it to "end up" ("did" serves the function of past tense).

2. Ok for casual conversation. (Anyone would know what you are asking, but it doesn't specify the final standings. Logically, I could answer which position they were in at any point in the season.)

3. OK.

In American English, it is more natural to say "place" instead of "position." I don't know which is more natural for British English.
