Please help me. This is an exercise. The answer is "that".
She is not the woman ( ) she was before she married.
Why not "whom"?
Thanks. |

Hi Tisogai
In this case,'that she was' is an adj subordinate clause to modify antecedent 'the woman'.If RP that leads an adjective subordinate clause is served as a complement of verb be to suggest the identity of sb ,RP 'that' is used in this case but not 'whom'. |
