Please help.
There was no place for us to sit in the center court.
Is the sentence above OK?
Should it be "There was no place to sit in/on in the center court" ??
Thanks. |

Hello Tisogai -
It sounds like someone is talking about seating at a tennis match.
If so, 'center(re) court' is the area nearest the net and you would find a place to sit 'in' that area.

Hi Philo, thanks.
Sorry it seems I didn't come across my question very well.
My question was;
There was no place to sit in in the centre court.
Two "in"s are needed, right?
Can it be done with only one "in"??
Thanks. |
