Hello, dear tutor,

Could you, please, solve my questions?

Is the following sentence correct?
"Decide on what the main goal of the research is."
Is there a phrasal verb for Decide?

Can I say: " Pick out the food we are goint to take to the picknick."
Can I use carry instead of take?

Which verb should I use to mean I want to wash my dog?
Bathe, shower, wash?[/b]

It's good.

Do you mean is "decide on" a phrasal verb? I'm not sure, but I think so.

Or do you mean is there a phrasal verb that would serve as a synonym? "Figure out" is a close replacement for "decide on."

It's good.

"Carry" doesn't work well, in my opinion, because it doesn't specify that it is your food contribution that you are carrying.

By the way, it is spelled "picnic." When you add "-ing" or "-ed," then you add a "k" to preserve the ending "hard c" sound: picnic, picnicking, picnicked.

"Bathe" is the most common, and so probably the best choice. The others sound a bit odd to me.
